"Ultramarine MUSIC! Oceans of L-O-V-E!"
After wintering in New York, Pasadena businessman Pete Wells prepares for his ocean voyage at home by throwing a wild party in his reception room. Drunk, he signs a letter written by his best friend, the playboy Alan Chandler. In this letter his various adulterous relationships are described in detail. Determined to remain single, Alan has agreed with Pete that the letter be sent to Pete's wife Grace Wells, but has demanded that the letter not be opened until after he is married. The next morning, after the letter is sent and the ship is in the middle of the ocean, Pete finds Zoe and Vera, two of his party guests.
