Measure for Measure plot

Claudio, a young nobleman, is engaged to Juliet who becomes pregnant with him before their wedding. For this act of fornication he is punished by Angelo, the duke's replacement. Although Claudio is willing to marry her, Angelo sentences him to death. Claudio's sister Isabella gains an audience with Angelo and begs for mercy. In the end, Angelo offers her a deal: he will spare Claudio's life if Isabella sacrifices her virginity and surrenders to him. Based on a play by William Shakespeare from 1604.
