Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola plot
Harry Mandola (Pankaj Kapur) is a wealthy industrialist who loves to drink and loves his daughter Bijlee (Anushka Sharma). He dreams of turning the village of Mandola (named after his family) in Haryana, India into a bustling prosperous place. But this dream can only be realized if the villagers want to sell their land to the government at unfairly low rates. When he has drunk he turns into an advocate of equality and betterment for the villagers, but he regrets these thoughts and actions when he is sober again. Bijlee Mandola is Harry's only child and she has plans to marry Baadal (Arya Babbar), the son of a politician Chaudhari Devi (Shabana Azmi). Chaudhari Devi is a corrupt politician who helps Harry achieve his dream.
