"Meet the All-American Jerk...Ladies' Man De Luxe!"
Dwight Dawson runs the Dale Carnegie School. This is a school that teaches people to be successful in their lives. Claire Harris, Dawson's secretary and girlfriend, proposes a publicity stunt one day. When her employer can make America's laziest man successful, it will bring in many more students and thus mean more revenue for the school. After a long search, the country boy and hedonist Thadeus Winship 'Tad' Page is found. But then Tad's 'take it easy' mentality seems to catch on more with the audience. Dawson gets further into trouble when Claire falls in love with Tad.
