Les Perles de la Couronne plot
To keep lovers away from his cousin Catherine de' Medici, Pope Clement VII orders them to find seven pear-shaped pearls. Of the pearls, four find their way from a necklace to a crown, while the other three mysteriously disappear and are later recreated by the officer of the British royal family and the Pope's chamberlain.
