Les Maris, les Femmes, les Amants plot
They come every year to spend their holidays on the island of Ré: friends, especially men, who have left their wives in Paris to take care of the children. Behind the visible euphoria, however, the problems pile up: Martin would like to console his son Clément with his imaginary heartbreak by pushing him into the arms of Annette, the babysitter of Michel's children. But he falls for her charms himself, while Clément lets himself be seduced by Jacqueline, Georges's wife. Bruno was abandoned by his wife and then is ensnared again by a nymphomaniac widow. And then there's little Eléonore, who is in love with Clément and stirs up his relationship over her attempt to commit suicide.
