Les Malheurs de Sophie plot

Sophie de Réan, an unruly naughty girl, grows up under the care of Mademoiselle, her strict governess. After her mother's death, she is entrusted to Madame de Fleurville, her aunt. The latter hires the same governess for Sophie's further education. A few years later, the girl grew up into a beautiful young lady. She is now in love with Paul, her cousin, who unlike her is exemplary. Unfortunately, Mademoiselle doesn't want to know about a marriage between them. Instead, she wants Sophie to marry Armand, the cocky son of the Prefect Hugon.
