Major Thompson (Jack Buchanan) is a middle-aged British widower who falls in love again. He soon marries Martine (Martine Carol), a French lady with allure. The problems begin when the couple must make a decision about raising their son. The question is whether the child should be raised as a neat, civilized Englishman or as a dashing, frivolous Frenchman.
