Le Viager plot
1930 around Christmas. Doctor Galipeau examines Louis Martineau, a 59-year-old bachelor whose health is not in the best of shape. Louis owns a cottage in Provence. The doctor thinks this is the ideal opportunity to buy the house on an annuity from Louis.
