Le Trésor de Cantenac plot
Cantenac is a small village far from the main roads. The mayor and the pastor are twins and bitter enemies. A jeweler searches in vain for a man for his daughter. There is the opulent inn manageress, who is flanked by her husband and her lover - both are jealous of each other. There is also a drunkard who is not seen drinking but is never sober. And there's the village idiot, less stupid than he actually looks. A seventy-year-old baron is now ruined and contemplating suicide. A lot happens in that village.
