Le Rose del Deserto plot
In 1940 a battalion, for sanitary assistance, of the Italian Army is sent to the oasis Sorman in Libya. Soon an Italian missionary living nearby manages to transform the occupation by the Italian army into a sort of humanitarian mission. In fact, the battalion's job is to help the local population. Either way, the war continues without respect for human feelings. The famous fascist campaign will eventually result in a swift retreat.
