Le Curé de Saint-Amour plot

Nicole, the niece of the Marquise de Sainte-Ange, runs away from the town hall with Jacques, just before she has to marry a man she doesn't like. The two arrive in Saint-Amour, where the Marquise joins them. She enlists the help of the village pastor to lecture them. Nicole tries to talk to her aunt and tells her she is pregnant.
