La Ragazza in Prestito plot
Clara wants to marry Mario, a good-looking man who spends most of his time on trivial things. When his father died, he was left with a small shop specializing in fur articles, managed by the dominant Regina. He only pops into the shop when he needs money. He spends his days in the gymnasium, the stadium and the billiard room, and his only ambition is to have a beautiful tanned skin. Franco, one of Mario's friends, is in love with Clara. One day, Mario and Clara get into an argument in front of their friends. Mario wants to show he's in charge and slaps Clara in the face. From then on, both Clara and Franco want nothing more to do with him. After many years of laziness, Mario finds that the only woman left for him is Regina. She's always been waiting for him...
