La Polka des Menottes plot

Elisabeth is convinced that she has killed her noisy neighbor, the scientist Charles Magne who lives above her. To help her out, Mr. Mathieu, her father, that he committed the murder, while Pierrot, Elisabeth's betrothed, hides the body to save father and daughter. Then there is another mobster, who also believes that he killed the professor, but he is shot. The girl, her father and her boyfriend are on the run. But the scientist Magne is not dead.
