La Cavale des Fous plot

After the philosophy professor Henri Toussaint tried to strangle his wife, he volunteered and has been nursed for seven years in a chic institution for the mentally disturbed. His psychiatrist, who cares for him personally, is Bertrand Daumale. When Henri's wife is terminally ill, she expresses the wish to reconcile with her husband. Doctor Daumale is of the opinion that patient Henri can leave the institution for a weekend under his supervision. When they leave the clinic, Henri smuggles out a fellow patient. It's the somewhat deranged, but not unattractive Angel. The three of them end up in hilarious situations.
