La Boulangerie plot

In the quaint charming French village of Castillonnès, the villagers are mounting a small offensive against the "tacky English tourists" who flock to their village. The local baker asks his daughter Claudia to bake the bread so that it is tough and inedible, hoping to scare off foreign visitors. When this doesn't work, the baker decides to contaminate his own bread, hoping to sicken the English tourists and drive them out of his business once and for all. Claudia hesitates to poison the tourists, but agrees with her domineering father. But the baker doesn't count on the handsome Englishman who walks into the shop one afternoon and catches Claudia's attention.
