La Befana Vien di Notte 2 - Le Origini plot
In eighteenth-century Italy, Baron De Michelis hunts witches in order to eliminate them, often orphaning the witches' children. Paola, an orphaned thief, also comes into the hands of the Baron. Paola is accused of witchcraft and sentenced to be burned at the stake. However, she is saved by the magical powers of Dolores, a woman dedicated to caring for and raising orphans. Dolores is a witch; she does magic, flies on a broom and brings food to needy families. Dolores knows the legend of the Befana and is looking forward to her arrival. According to the legend, the Befana will be a girl who can make all children smile. Will the legend come true?
