A natural aversion to work leads young Eddie Chapman, after a short sojourn in the military, towards professional crime. With an older friend who introduces him to the art of safe-cracking, he is the first to use the explosive 'plastic' from America. Scotland Yard is setting up a special unit to take care of the so-called 'plastic brothers'. But how long can Chapman and his companion go undetected?
