Keep Smiling plot
Young Jane Rand dreams of one day becoming a Hollywood star. She decides to visit her uncle Jonathan. After all, he is a director and may be able to help her. She finds Jonathan in a pitiful state; things are not going well for him and he has resorted to alcohol. Jane tries to kill two birds with one stone by restarting Jonathan's career with a film in which she herself will be the star.
