Island City plot
The film follows three stories set in Mumbai. The first is about a middle-aged man who has won a prize. This entitles him to a whole day full of fun. The second segment tells the story of a domineering paterfamilias, Anil, whose family buys a TV against his will and watches popular soap every night. In the third part, Aarti's repetitive existence slowly makes her more and more mechanical and numb. Then one day she receives an intimate letter that changes everything.
