In the Nick of Time plot

At the North Pole, Santa Claus and his elves are busy preparing for the approaching Christmas, which takes place in a week. This will be his penultimate Christmas, as every three hundred years Santa will have to be succeeded by another. Everything seems to be going according to plan this year, until an elf discovers a calculation error: Santa Claus has to find a successor this year, and has a week to do so.
