Import-eksport plot

Jan loves Jasmin, but she has been married off to a Pakistani cousin who will soon come to Norway to marry her. With a thesis on immigrant shops as a cover, Jan gets a job in the shop of Allahditta and Yousaf, Jasmin's father and brother-in-law. Yousaf helps Jan to become a Muslim so he can marry Jasmin and Jan helps Yousaf prepare for his taxi driver exam. At the same time, Jan Allahditta tries to change his opinion about mixed marriages, which Allahditta strongly opposes.
