Il Principe e il Pirata plot
Leopoldo Natali is an honest schoolmaster who has to deal with a father who pretends to be dead to escape the nagging of creditors. After the fake funeral, he leaves without informing Leopoldo. He did, however, leave a video in which he reveals that he left behind a valuable painting that he won playing cards. Leopoldo, however, has to share the loot with someone else: a half-brother he's never heard of. This Melchiorre, better known as Gimondi, is a professional liar, thief and gambler in one. When he gets out of prison, Leopoldo and Gimondi embark on a journey across Italy to claim their inheritance.
