Hyppolit a Lakáj plot
Mrs. Schneider is advised to take a butler instead of a chambermaid. She agrees and takes in a butler named Hyppolit. Hyppolit has worked for a count for 27 years and feels his new workplace urgently needs some changes. The family is now required to wear evening clothes at dinner and Mr. and Mrs. Schneider are subjected to a strict diet. In order to survive, they flee the house at night to eat in a restaurant.
