Homer Comes Home plot
Homer Cavender is considered a failure by the people in his hometown because he has been fired from almost every job. The only one who feels sorry to see him go is Rachel Prouty, the daughter of one of the town's prominent citizens. He goes to work as a clerk at Bailly & Kort. Two years after starting work, Homer notices that he is not progressing fast enough. He has the idea to build a factory in his hometown. But the project requires money to get off the ground. His bosses refuse to finance the project. However, Homer has managed to save $300.
