Hexen plot
In 1949, in the Thuringian village of Hunsdorf, people are still preoccupied with superstitions. They always try to explain unusual events as something supernatural. Again and again pigs disappear from the farms, without leaving a trace. Who else but witches could be responsible for these events? At least, this is what the villagers suspect. Police officer Kühlemann is sent to Hunsdorf to solve the mystery of the missing pigs. But he fails to get people off their superstitions. He can therefore not count on the help of the farmers. They find his research useless.
