Europe in 2021 is divided into American sectors. The official currency is the dollar. In Vienna, Johnny Bush (indeed, son of...) is Chancellor. English is the main language, dialects are banned and residents of Vienna who still want to speak Viennese have gone underground. The German journalist August Maria Kaiser comes to Vienna to report on the missing Jörg Haider. After having ruled Austria for twenty years, Haider was expelled by the Americans. In search of the truth and Haider, Kaiser meets many acquaintances.
