Gek van Oranje plot
Gek van Oranje is a mosaic film that takes place during those few weeks when the Netherlands shakes off its 'just do it mentality' and is completely absorbed in the orange madness. It is 2010 and the Netherlands scores unexpectedly high during the World Cup in South Africa. The fans dream of a place in the final with every game they win, while those who have nothing to do with football have the deserted streets to themselves. In this slightly heated state of mind, people are driven towards each other or further apart, only to never be the same again after four weeks - when the carnival of the World Cup is over.
