Norma Page, her sister Patricia, Gertie Robbins and Mary Forbes are four young women who are completing a three-year nursing course. One of the nurses-to-be, Norma Page, wants to marry a brilliant yet attractive doctor, like her training physician, Dr Stephen "Steve" Melford, but then she falls in love with wealthy "playboy" Robert "Bob" Maitland. A serious train accident has serious consequences for the romance between Norma and Bob.
