Mauro, Paolo, Roberto and Massimo are four friends, all divorced. Massimo has just decided to commit suicide because the judge has stripped him of everything and forced him to give a hefty allowance to his ex-wife. Now he can barely afford a shabby apartment. His friends try to support him and keep him from trying to commit suicide again. When it looks like they're succeeding, a charming neighbor knocks on the door with an unwelcome surprise.
