Feed the Fish plot

Joe (Ross Partridge) is a retired children's author on the brink of a mid-life crisis. With his career on the decline and his relationship on the rocks, he leaves town with his best friend to train for the 'Dead Polar Bear Dive'. This is to fuel his life fire in the middle of winter. After arriving in town, Joe isn't exactly greeted warmly by the locals: the currently single waitress Sif, the gun-obsessed sheriff, and the hermit Alex. As the 'Dead Polar Bear Dive' approaches, Joe and Sif draw closer too. The only problem, however, is her father.
