Ma Fendou is a worn-out insurance agent whose life seems to be at a dead end. His friend, the speedy Li Fei, advises him to take life as it is and let himself be carried away instead of trying to be difficult all the time. In order not to let his girlfriend Shanshan fall victim to his attempts to get his life back on track, Ma Fendou breaks up with her, only to get deeper into the pit. Then a strange woman appears in his office. This Shangguan Furong claims to be an earth goddess and offers him to make 19 of his wishes come true as a child.
