"A new sort of comedy."
Ryan lives and works in Vancouver, which is teeming with Hollywood film crews and people looking for quick cash. Ryan's unemployed father has a marijuana plantation in his basement, his brother is involved in a real estate scam, and Ryan works for a magazine that focuses on lottery winners. After his girlfriend leaves him for a rich yup, Ryan falls in love with Ming, a beautiful Asian woman he meets while studying Manderin. In order to fulfill Ming's desire to live a more luxurious life, Ryan decides to use the knowledge he gained at work and devise a plan to determine the lottery results.
