Es War Einmal in Deutschland... plot
1946, post-war Germany. Jews David Berman and his friends narrowly escaped Nazi persecution. With humor, tricks and guts, they now go through the doors of the city of Frankfurt am Main, selling the women who live there different kinds of household linen - such as sheets and towels - on order and then, if they have enough money together, so to immigrate to the United States or Palestine as soon as possible. But the American officer Sara Simon is on their tail.
