Mariano (Paco Martínez Soria) would have loved to have had a son. But he finds out that he has a daughter, born from one of his earlier romances. With his wife, Mariano tries to turn his daughter Juanita (Adriana Ozores) into a real lady and they look for a suitable suitor for her. The trouble starts when Juanita comes home with the man of her choice, who turns out to be a colored man.
