Dva z Onoho Sveta plot

Petr and Pavel are identical adult twins who have devoted their lives to music. Pavel is a music professor in Prague and is only interested in classical music. He doesn't like the modern, lighter music like jazz and pop, which his students and his daughter Alena like. Petr has emigrated to America and is involved in a lighter genre of music, much to the delight of Alena, who often uses him as an example in the quarrels with her father. Pavel is fed up at a certain point. He tells Alena that Petr has died and at the same time writes to Petr that he and his entire family died to cut off all contact.
