Down to Earth plot
Lance Burton, an unsuccessful comedian, is accidentally transferred to heaven after a traffic accident. The mistake is corrected at the gates of heaven: returning to his own body is impossible, but he can take over the body of a rich, white man. This creates the necessary comic entanglements.

Bland dime a dozen comedy that is nowhere funny except for a few moments. The story has been performed several times and often better. This was just a far cry from it. The story is also very bland and full of stereotypes (white people are bad) and clichés. Lead actor Chris Rock is more annoying than fun in this movie. But he actually has that problem in almost all of his films. The rest of the cast isn't fun either and they often act very exaggerated (especially that awful Wanda Sykes). The woman Regina King that Chris Rock fell in love with in this film was a dragon of a woman and she couldn't act either. No, you'd better avoid this bland bite, unless you're a big Chris Rock fan, but there will be very few of them.
