In a holiday camp for young Soviet "pioneers", the leader Dynin terrorizes the children. When the popular Kostja swims 'secretly' across a river - located near the camp - he is thrown out of the camp by Dynin. Fearing that his grandmother will never survive this bad news, Kostja hides.
