Statistics say that every machinist in his career inadvertently kills 15 to 20 people. Ilija is a 60-year-old machinist about to retire. He is reported to have the record of 28 deaths during his career as a train driver. His 19-year-old adopted son Sima is following in his father's footsteps. He is terrified and unwilling to become a murderer. The days go by and no accidents have happened yet. Ilija, fearful that his son will not become a good machinist, takes matters into her own hands.
