Dill Scallion plot

"Two things about country singers - They sing from the heart...and they always have good-lookin' hair."

Dill Scallion (Billy Burke) is a school bus driver in a small Texas town who becomes a country and western superstar overnight. His song "I Found Love at a Family Reunion" becomes a hit and he becomes immensely popular for his unique dance moves. These moves are so unusual because Dill has seriously injured his foot and now, in order to keep doing his dance, he has to keep injuring himself.
