According to annual tradition, an amateur production of Molière's “Don Juan” is being presented in the village. Gabrielle, wife of rural doctor Jean-Marc, plays Elvire, while the title role is played by hairdresser Serge, a middle-aged bachelor. The further the rehearsals go, the more Serge starts to empathize with his seducing role, which is not difficult because for years he has cherished a secret passion for his attractive co-star. And Jean-Marc, he's too busy with his patients. However, their children are aware of it and they intervene.
