Die Gräfin von Monte-Christo plot

The extras Jeanette Heider and Mimi are waiting for a breakthrough, but it is delayed. Jeanette, in particular, could use a break, as her friend and journalist Stephan Riehl is on the brink of losing his job. During filming, Jeanette and Mimi have the opportunity to drive an expensive sports car. Without thinking of the consequences, Janette goes on holiday with this car. Under the name 'Countess of Monte Carlo', she books a room for her and Mimi in a stately winter sports hotel. Jeanette continues this masquerade until she has to deal with two other impostors.
