Die Frauen des Herrn S. plot

In ancient Athens, parliamentarians plot nefarious schemes against the enemy occupiers. Meanwhile, philosopher Socrates (Paul Hörbiger) has his eye on the beautiful Euritrite (Sonja Ziemann), but she will only return his love if he marries her. Socrates is already married. Smart as he is, he proposes to the council the idea of double marriages, arguing that it will produce more children and thus more soldiers in the future.
