Die Ältern plot
A writer is in the midst of a midlife crisis and a marital crisis. His children are growing up, and he feels overwhelmed by the changes. Instead of embracing the challenges, he struggles to break free from his ingrained habits. When he meets another woman, he tries, somewhat clumsily and with a touch of involuntary humor, to restructure his life and perhaps chart a new course.
