Desperate Remedies plot

"Colonial romancing and complicating..."

Dorothea tries to separate her sister Rose from the decadent Prince impersonator Fraser. She hires Lawrence to make Fraser fall for another woman to run off with Rose herself. Lawrence has a crush on Dorothea and she thinks Lawrence will like it so he can stay close to Dorothea. Dorothea, in turn, has a poor politician after her, who thinks Dorothea is the solution to his financial problems.
