Der Herr auf Bestellung plot

The eloquent Carry Clips is hired as a guest speaker for every occasion. His assistant, Lillebil, loves him, but he is a confirmed bachelor. One day, Professor Wielander assigns him to secretly speak in his place at a lecture for the "Modern Club" – on the topic of marriage. During the lecture, Baroness von Lindenwörth falls in love with the professor, especially because of his voice, which actually belongs to Carry.
