The cunning businessman Gregor takes advantage of the confusion surrounding a car accident to swap identities with the hapless Justus, who ends up in the hospital disfigured beyond recognition. Contrary to his expectations, however, the victim does not die, and his family discovers his plan to plunder his company's accounts in suspended animation.
