Dear Brat plot
Mirian Wilkins, the teenage daughter of Senator Wilkins, starts a criminal rehabilitation association without her father's approval. Miriam appoints her father as honorary president. When it turns out that Baxter, the Wilkins' new gardener, is a notorious ex-con who was also sentenced to prison by Senator Wilkins when he was a judge, he wants to fire him. Miriam points out to her father that this would be a wrong decision given his position in her association.
