Charming investment advisor Christian Zeiler uses up his clients' money and is then consistently pursued by them, particularly butcher Rolli Baumann. Christian hopes to solve his problems by marrying banker's daughter Katharina Buchheim. Her father Karl is of course perfectly aware that he is dealing with a profiteer and tries everything and anything to prevent a marriage. Chance will lend him a hand, although that may not be exactly what he wanted...
