Cudownie Ocalony plot
The story is set in the Mazury region in the 1960s. Mikolaj Biesaga speaks a certain Polish dialect. His life was miraculously saved during the war and so he swore to the Blessed Virgin Mary to build a statue to her. However, he ignored his promise as his family's upbringing and financial difficulties prevented him from doing so. Now a widower with grown children, he expects to die soon and takes up the project again. The main obstacle is the local communist authorities who do not give him permission. One day a bus with 20 women arrives in the village. They move into a collective farm and the fun begins. Because for Mikolaj it is never too late to fall in love.
